Affiliate ecosystem

Government After Shock is a new approach, a participatory experiment among leading international institutions, government organisations, research centres, civil society and private sector groups, and many others with a view to collective dialogue, insight and problem-solving for public value.

Organisations are invited to join in hosting events in the global program.

An ecosystem of collaborative affiliates

The initiative will be designed and outcomes curated with the support of an international circle of advisors and sponsoring support organisations.

To create shared value though existing or planned programs, we are inviting diverse people and organisations to join the initiative:

• Conference & knowledge event convenors & hosts

• Research centres and data custodians

• Social knowledge outreach & citizen social science initiatives
Why is this network being convened?

It’s an important opportunity during this unique time to capture the array of questions, insights, lessons and future directions being explored through allied events all over the world.

The establishment of this pop-up network is a focused effort to capture knowledge and expertise across the public purpose ecosystem in a way that is open, generative and connective.

Harvesting insights from an informal world network of 2020 events and initiatives

Between now and the end of 2020, the OECD OPSI team are leading the curation of a portfolio of collective insights, curated from the input from associated gatherings as well as the 2-day Government After Shock networked event in November.

A network of affiliated events

We are connecting with like minded events to create a 2020 Aftershock Dialogues Network.

The co-convening of this 2020 ‘pop-up network’ is a focused effort to capture knowledge and expertise across the global public-purpose ecosystem in a way that is open and collaborative.

This network is aimed to inform the global discussion about the crisis and its implications for government and others. By connecting events with similar aims we hope to collectively ensure the conversation continues to evolve and mature.

Events that are part of the Network simply need to agree to have a dedicated component (during or after the event), facilitated by the Government After Shock team, to identify key take-away messages that can help inform the broader global discussion.
