The crisis has sparked many conversations and pieces of writing about government, its role and what should happen next. During this extraordinary time, we want to track different ways of thinking, new perspectives and emerging narratives that have been sparked by the crisis. We are seeking your help in finding and capturing these new narratives.
Alex Roberts, OECD OPSI
How do we ensure that government comes out of the current crisis better than before? That we collectively engage with the disruption rather than seek to simply put it behind us? The year 2020 has been a terrible shock for everyone. Every city, every jurisdiction, every part of society has had to adjust to the pandemic and to the accompanying after-effects. It has been a year already marked by loss and significant economic and personal costs or sacrifices. How do we make sure that these become steps to a better future, rather than something seen as an aberration or a diversion from some preferred path?
OECD OPSI are building a set of analytical tools for the Government After Shock network of events and for organizations to use in their own contexts to make sense of the many narratives emerging as recommended post-Covid directions.
In parallel, they are collecting the narratives that are worth more community exploration, both to test and build the tools as well as for a community resource.
